Thames Valley Section

Welcome to the Thames Valley Section

This is a new section formed in February and March of 2010 to meet the needs of CA members living in the Thames Valley area. We will be holding a variety of meetings often with invited speakers to talk on subjects of interest to cruising people, as well as meetings to provide opportunities for members to meet and interact to exchange experiences and gain knowledge. 

These meetings are expected to be mostly in the winter, and it is also possible that some Summer Meets may be held on the water with members on their boats currently cruising the River Thames. See the box to the right of the screen for more information about Section events.

River Thames

The centre chosen as a base for the Section is Marlow, between Henley and Windsor, but this could vary with time to another Thames Valley location, according to members' preferences. CA members living within a reasonable driving time will be those who come to meetings arranged by the Joint Secretaries. CA members cruising the Thames in the summer may well live too far away to come to the Thames Valley Section's winter meetings, but in such cases it is likely that there is another CA section nearer to their home address.
