Solent Section Summer Programme 2009 Meets Booking forms to attend Meets are sent to members. Also see booking forms May 9-10 East Cowes Meet and Barbecue Organisers Rodney and Karen Ireland June 27-28 Informal Meet at Mercury Marina River Hamble Organiser Malcolm White 15-16 August Meet at Marchwood Yacht Club, Southampton Water Once again Tony Thompson has invited members to join him at the Marchwood Yacht Club. Moorings will be available for the nights of Friday and Saturday (14 and 15 August), with the clubhouse open for meals on the Friday from 7.30 pm with the bar opening at 8.00 pm. On the Saturday Tony is planning a visit to a local attraction – ‘Medieval Southampton’ has been mentioned, with pre-dinner drinks on the pontoons and a more formal meal in the Clubhouse in the evening. There are no booking forms to join a ‘Cruise in Company' 26-28th June Once again John Kibble is inviting Solent Section members to join his very successful MDL Northney Rally to Cherbourg. Please see the contact deatils for John in the pdf attachment July Rodney and Karen Ireland hope to cross the Channel about July 8/9, then going on to unknown destinations, and they would welcome company. Please see the contact details for Rodney in the pdf attachment July John and Jenny Langham-Brown (Barbary Dabchick) hope to leave the UK in time to enjoy the fireworks in Cherbourg on Bastille Night (July) 14th before they move on to wherever the wind will take them. Please see the contact details for John in the pdf attachment August Cruising to the Channel Islands/Brittany Tim and Liz Dodwell (High Barbaree) are planning to leave end July or early August to go to the Paimpol Shanty Festival (7-9 August) and would welcome company on the way - and hoping to spend some time in the Channel Isles.
