BLue Water

Welcome to the Blue Water Section. The response from members at the launch of this section was amazing, within two weeks of the formal set up in March 2010 we had 90 members join and the numbers have swelled to 250 as at September 2011.

The aims of the Blue Water Section are to encourage contact between members and facilitate the exchange of all types of information available to those already sailing waters not covered by the existing British, Baltic, Mediterranean and European Inland Waterways sections, others who are planning  their future Blue Water sailing and experienced members who have previously sailed the oceans. At present, this spread of information is achieved by way of occasional meetings, our regular Newsletters and an email-based forum.

Wild Orchid

We arrange frequent Rendezvous for CA Blue Water members in various locations around the world, details of which can be found in the Events section. We produce a web based Newsletter which can be downloaded when convenient for perusal at leisure; a brief e-mail is sent out to advise of its availability. A list of Section Members is published below (members' only page) with their boat names, contact details, cruising areas and blogs to enable inter-member contact.

The Blue Water Forum   is an email based enquiry system whereby the 'enquirer only' receives any direct response. The enquiry together with all replies is posted on the 'Forum' page on the CA website; in this way valuable information can be shared. You don't have to join to join in only to receive your answers by email; see "communications" below on how to do this.
