DATES FOR THIS SEASON (2009/2010)

 

Friday 19th March 2010 - From Saltings and Swatchways to Rocks and Pines - An East Coast Sailor's impressions of living and sailing in the Stockholm archipelago by Graham Howat  Graham is a CA Member currently living and working in Stockholm.  He keeps his boat in the Stockholm area and sails in Sweden during the summers.  Graham has taken part in several Swedish races - particularly the annual race around Gotland.  He will tell us about living and sailing in Sweden (not just racing) based on two seasons' experience.  A unique opportunity to see this popular sailing and cruising ground through the eyes of a "semi-native".    Maybe some of the lessons learned could be helpful to others.

 Sunday 28th March 2010 - Baltic Party - "Bon Voyage 2010" Event postponed from January.  Inevitably some of those who had booked previously cannot make the new date and there are spaces available.  If you would like to come along and join this lively social gathering, enjoy a splendid party lunch and the entertainment which follows, just download and complete the form and send it, together with your cheque, to John Littlewood.  If you have already booked and paid for the party planned for 10th January there is no need to complete the form.  Your booking and payment is already registered (unless you have requested a refund) and no further action is necessary.

HELSINKI RALLY 5TH TO 9TH JULY 2010  The rally will be held at the Helsinki Sailing Club (HSK) marina at Lautasaari in Helsinki during week beginning Monday 5th July.  The programme of events will include a city tour and a visit to the fortress island of Suomenlinna as well as the traditional BBQ and Grand Dinner.  For those who wish to join boats in Helsinki, EastJet are now flying Gatwick to Helsinki.  Work is progressing on the events.  So far 10 boas are on the list - for others who may wish to join us please let the Section Secretaries know as soon as possible to help us plan.
