If you are interested in towing a dinghy or cruiser to France on a trailer this book is strongly recommended. Written by a trailer sailor resident in France, it describes hundreds of sites where you can launch on the coast extending from the Belgium border round to Nantes together with the Western Rivers.

Sound advice is gives on topics ranging from French towing regulations, charts, pilot books, tide tables and dealing with emergencies. Each launching site entry includes details of the ramp, the nature of the beach, tidal requirements, and local facilities. Launching fees are given in the few instances where they are applicable. If a site is only suitable for dinghies this is make clear, generally however, most sites are listed as suitable for craft up to 22 feet LOA.

Directions for finding the sites are brief but adequate giving the numbers of roads to be followed and necessary landmarks. An excellent, well written, concise, and informative book. JDB
