In a Danish harbour in the middle of January a mysterious log book is passed to 'live aboard' Ulf for safe keeping. This leads him and his friend to sail his 31 foot sloop across the North Sea and round the Hebrides in a series of violent encounters with a covert Druid cult organisation.

The descriptions of winter weather, sea states and pilotage through such 'hot spots' as the Straits of Corryvreckan will keep any red blooded cruising person glued to his armchair.

There are few 'hands on' yachting thrillers and even fewer with a convincing plot. This one reads like a modern day 'Riddle of the Sands' and deserves to become a classic. NC.
