Thames Valley

Welcome to the Thames valley Section

Now in its sixth year, the Thames Valley section meets once a month to give members the chance to meet one another, exchange ideas and generally get a cruising fix in the winter months.

The Thames Valley Area

The Thames Valley section was set up for members living within a 40-mile radius of Marlow so they could meet with other CA members and their guests to exchange ideas and enjoy talks on a wide range of sailing topics. Despite the name, the Thames Valley section is not just about river cruising.

Many section members keep their boats around the UK coast or abroad and the diverse areas of interest are reflected in the talks held at The Upper Thames Sailing Club. There is a variety of meetings often with invited speakers to talk on subjects of interest to cruising people as well as meetings to provide opportunities for members to share experiences and knowledge.

Where We Meet

The Upper Thames Sailing Club is via Coldmoorholme Lane, off the A4155 between Marlow and Bourne End. For those using SatNav the postcode is SL8 5PT. After parking, please be careful crossing the railway - it is used every day all through the year.

Talks are held on a Tuesday evening and start at 8pm and the Bar opens from 7.15pm.
