One of the attractions of CA Membership is being able to visit and stay in CA House, which is the headquarters of the Cruising Association. CA House overlooks Limehouse Basin Marina, at the gateway between the tidal Thames and the inland waterways, and lies between the business areas of the City of London and Canary Wharf. It can easily be reached by car, public transport, and boat.
The Cruising Association has five cabins available exclusively to CA members. The five cabins have recently been refurbished to include double beds and en-suite wet rooms as well as the usual tea/coffee making facilities. .
The cabins are £40 for single occupancy and £60 for two guests. All prices include a self-service breakfast of tea, coffee, bread, jams and a selection of cereals. Unfortunately fire regulations prevent us from offering a toaster. This accommodation is ideal for trips to London for business or leisure or CA functions. There are also meeting rooms, offices for CA Staff, a well-equipped Information Centre, and a franchised bar and catering facility. Our meeting rooms can be hired out to members and non-members.
The Assembly Room is ideal for parties or large gatherings and can accommodate up to 95. Facilities include sound system and dance floor, and the bar can be available for guest refreshment. We have a patio with garden benches, perfect for summer BBQ's.
Limehouse Basin was constructed in 1812. During WW2, the surrounding area was severely damaged but it has been completely regenerated with CA House and the neighbouring marina as its maritime focus. Direct access by lock to the River Thames and the sea is available for boats at most states of the tide and visitors by water are very welcome.

By Public TransportIf you are coming by public transport you need to get to Limehouse Station on the D.L.R. Click the box on the right to find out how.

Follow the path around the right-hand side of the marina, and continue past the octagonal building (the Lock Office). Cross the Lock and turn left, and CA House is the brown brick building on your right.
The Thames River Bus runs from Embankment to Woolwich Arsenal with stops on both sides of the river. The nearest stop to Limehouse is Canary Wharf, which is about 10 minutes walk from CA House.
