French Canals

I am planning to transit the French Canals from Le Havre to Port Napoleon April - June 2010.  If any members have made this trip recently, south - north or north - south I would very much appreciate any advice or experiences that they may wish to offer.  Specifically I am interested in suggestions for mast transportation and views on which route might suit a lifting keel Southerly RS135 (LOA 13.5m, Draught 0.8m and Min Air Draught 1.8m)
