Unrestrainedly aimed at those who hanker for the past, simpler world when you could build your own boat and then live by cruising along wild coasts doing odd jobs and meeting with others who have the same life style.

This was just about still possible ten years or so ago along the Canadian Pacific coast and the authors try to capture the details of the heyday of such a life style from a couple who have been living in that manner for several decades. Sadly the book ends with them having to move ashore and the death of first one then the other bringing an end to the living link with the past.
