In those moments when there is nothing to do and nothing you want to do, you could pick up this miscellany and browse through the selection of prose and poetry. You would be bound to find something of interest, amusement, information or instruction and so invigorated return to the more mundane world - getting yourself and/or your boat from A to B. The only flaw I find with the book, is the American bias of the clips; then again sailing is nothing if not international, so that is a small grumble. If you are looking for a present for the sailor who has (nearly) everything this is an answer to your search.
Remember -"Houses are but badly built boats, so firmly aground that you cannot think of moving them". Racundra's First Cruise by Arthur Ransome, 1928. - SM
