A delightful compilation of Mike Peyton’s cautionary drawings. As ever each one encapsulates a story of misadventure or a lesson to be learnt, grouped under such headings as Offshore, Home Waters, With the Ladies, and others. One section, As It Was, is a nostalgic look back at some of his early cartoons with an added postscript. It does not say how far back but, for sure, the style, sentiments and drawings have not changed. It’s an ideal candidate for the "smallest room " library. The only thing to say against the book is the relatively poor quality of the paper. These days one has come to expect better. -FT
