All I can do is echo the Tavistock Times: “It is packed with a vast amount of practical information. A super book.”

As a fly fisherman for many years in rivers/streams/lakes and reservoirs, I find this the best I have ever read. The full colour photographs are of a very good quality. The information and in-depth contributions from the twelve chapter writers ( one new since the first edition), are excellent, a mine of information not only of how to fish the waters but how to tie the flies. Not only fly fishermen, but the West Country Tourist Boards should be very grateful for this book. A book well worth reading and having in one’s own collection. My only adverse comment is that there are no photographs of the flies used. RJR
