A detailed pilot for Cruising the Windward Islands. It contains very useful general information for first time cruising of Windward Islands. It is also useful for planning a bareboat charter cruise. Good mileage charts and useful GPS waypoints. Very good and accurate information on immigration procedures, facilities and opening times for each of the islands.

It gives: · Clear colour aerial photographs which can be used in association with hand drawn pilot charts to obtain better grasp of recommended pilotages and anchorages. · Good notes for scuba divers, but limited information on good locations for people who enjoy snorkelling. · Up-to-date information on Yachting Services, the accompanying booklet "Directory of the Windward Islands" is particularly useful, a real Yellow Pages ! · The guide also comprehensively includes interesting places/things to see around each island. It will prove useful when exploring by car or bus. It is an essential guide for Windward Island cruising.

A criticism is that some restaurants are overrated. The Yacht Club in Tyrell Bay, Carriacou is not mentioned: a good place to meet fellow yachtsmen, exchange books, have a cold beer get laundry done, and get block ice ! AO’C
