An excellent achievement to produce such a comprehensive work in less than 150 pages. The text is clear and contains numerous line drawings of various boat types from centreboard sailing dinghies to 40ft power boats. Much attention has been given to hull balance and and the importance of clean underwater profiles for economy of power.
In concluding his views on accommodation, John Teale warns the would-be designer that when drawing the accommodation plan for a cruising vessel, much care is to be taken to ensure that the proposed layout will fit into the otherwise splendid hull.
A really delightful little book. - PJ
