Published every few years since 1986, this soft-backed “launching Guide” gives details of more than 700 sites around the British coast suitable for motor and sail.

Brief editorial material gives a useful summary of the legal aspects of towing and a few useful addresses, though the latter takes up just one page and those listed are readily available elsewhere. The bulk of the book is given over to the list of sites arranged in geographical segments each fronted by a simple sketch map. The data is given in standard format with a description of the slipway type, suitability, availability, local restrictions, facilities available, dues/charges, directions to the site and the waters accessed.
