Denmark offers the cruising sailor a choice of sheltered East coast Jutland fjords or more than 200 named islands to explore, and the locals usually speak excellent English. The Baltic coast of Germany, much of which was not accessible to visitors between WW2 and the unification of the country, offers fascinating Hanseatic towns and contrasting ex-military harbours in a variety of natural settings. The crew of "Concord" covered most of this cruising area during the five years they were based in the Baltic, and this PowerPoint presentation will describe the merits of the area and consider the costs and other aspects of extended cruising in the region.
