Opening hours
The Hanson Room which houses the CA Library is on the top floor of CA House and is open to CA Members at the following times:

Saturdays, Sundays and evening access is also available by prior arrangement with the Secretariat.
 
Librarian
Our Consultant librarian Lynda Stoney is a highly experienced chartered librarian who has worked in a number of specialist libraries in the past and she is also a former CA member with a wealth of sailing knowledge including nearly ten years spent recently cruising the Med as a liveaboard. Lynda is available in the Hanson Room on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Whether you have an enquiry about the collection, want to borrow a book or DVD or need some information on anything from customs regulations to marina facilities and much more besides, Lynda is ready to assist and advise.
However please note that we are unable to conduct any detailed cruise planning or in-depth research for members.

Enquiry Service: How to contact the Librarian
There are several ways in which you can contact the Librarian to make an enquiry.

Use the simple online Enquiry Form to send a message or request.
Alternatively Lynda is available at CA House in person or by telephone on 020 7537 2828 during library hours on Mondays, Wednesday and Thursdays.
Or you can send an email to library@cruising.org.uk or a fax addressed to the Librarian at the CA fax number: 020 7537 2266  
Finally you can write to the Librarian at

Loans    
Books can be borrowed from the Hanson Room in person but if it is not easy or convenient for you to come into CA House, it is very simple to arrange loans online. Simply search the catalogue and once you have selected the books or videos that you would like to borrow, go to the bookloan form which can be filled in and submitted online.

Alternatively just telephone the librarian at CA House on 020 7537 2828 or send an email to library@cruising.org.uk.
Books are loaned for four weeks and videos and pilots for two weeks. They will be posted out to you and there is no charge for this service, although we ask members to refund postage costs when returning the books.
There are fines for books and videos which are returned late.
