About a dozen keen sailors who cruise a stretch of coast fairly
regularly act as Regional Editors to keep the Almanac up to date for the
rest of us. We do most of our work in the winter so that we can publish in
time for the new cruising season. We do not envisage a major
revision but there will always be a few changes - a buoy change, a new
marina or a shoal developing. Some of these go in HANNS and some in the
Corrections. We edit some other books like Foreign Cruising and work in
close association with the Mediterranean and Baltic Sections who publish
for their own areas outside the Almanac area. The new Almanac has stretched our technical expertise into things like First Aid, Navtex and tidal data for which we need technical editors. We have most areas covered at present but would still like some help. If you feel that this would give your sailing a purpose and make it more interesting please contact . |
