HANNs 04/2 is the second in the series of Harbour, Anchorage, and
Navigation Notes for 2004 which members of the Cruising Association
will receive this year. Below are listed some of the high lights
received from members who send in reports from all over the world.
Admiralty Notices to Mariners which cause amendments to the Cruising
Almanac 2003/2004 published by the Cruising Association and Imray,
Laurie, Norie and Wilson are noted in the full version of this HANNs.

How do get medical advice by radio from NHS Direct line.
One of our members has given us news of a new low cost weather forecast service giving various short term forecasts and 5 day forecasts for 11 areas around the British isles.
Also the Cruising Association has prepared guidance notes for its members on the taxation of yacht Owners keeping their boats in Spain.
As usual this time of the year we get information on the latest changes to the entrance channel to the River Ore/Alde. Plan is available to members in the CA library.
We now have further information about the lighting on the N Holye Wind farm which will be marked by 4 masts 61m high with lts FlY 2.5s.
RTE has changed two of its broadcasts times of offshore weather forecasts. Now at 0602, 1255, 1957, and 2355.
There appears to be a revised set of traffic signals at St Helier Important to yachtsmen as boats under 25m can go in against the signals which apply to larger vessels.
We are accumulating a lot of information about the Baltic off the coasts of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia as well as the E coast
of Sweden and Finland as many of our members are cruising there now.
Our members in the Mediterranean section continue to
produce a great deal of information often relating to Heikell's pilots.
This time there was a lot of information on Malta.
This time of the year our members put in their logs of last summer's cruises which
are entered for various prizes and then go in the library for the
benefit of our members. A good selection this year including one cruise
up the river to Kiev, and an outstanding cruise in a Wayfarer from
Denmark to Sweden and Norway. Many of these logs are now accompanied by
photographs for down loading on to computer and enlarging as you read
which enhances their value and use.
