Solent Section March Meeting - ‘Weather Forecasts – a realistic view’

date:
Fri, 09/03/2012 - 18:30 - 22:00
place:
Royal Air Force Yacht Club Hamble

There is a change in our programme for this meeting.

We  are very fortunate to be able to have Frank Singleton coming to address us on ‘Weather Forecasts – a realistic view’.

It is probably axiomatic that when we go cruising, the single factor most contributing to the success of our planned progress is the weather.

This is a chance to hear an acknowledged expert tell us how to get the best weather information.

We hope that as many of our members and guests as possible will want to come and hear Frank, and of course there will be supper beforehand.

A booking form for members and their guests to attend this event will be available via a link from this page nearer the time.

Gins Farm Meet - with dinner in the Royal Southampton YC Clubhouse on the Beaulieu River. It is a beautiful location, probably unsurpassed in the Solent.

Always our popular end of season Meet, and like the last two seasons we have provided the option to have the ferryman get you back to your boat on its mooring at the end of the evening. For only a small charge this saves using the dinghy late at night and after a good run ashore - we need say no more!
