Cruising Information

A huge benefit of belonging to the Cruising Association (CA) is access to a wealth of unbiased cruising information. Publications are compiled directly from members own experiences and local knowledge. This page describes what is available.
Tell us where you've been, and what you've seen. Regional editors will then use these inputs to keep our primary sources up to date.
Cruising Guides help you choose. They compare challenges and attractions so you can select which regions will suit your tastes and abilities. Europe Regions are grouped into four areas; the rest of the world follows later!
Select your pilot books and charts. Work out how to stay in touch and obtain weather forecasts. Obtain the docments you need for trouble free cruising, and see if time spent abroad is likely to affect your tax status or obligations.
How We Deliver - Print.
Our pilot guide for tidal Europe, The Cruising Association Almanac, is only available in print. All other information may be printed at the office (for a copying and postage cost) or may be downloaded in print format (.pdf files) from these pages.
How we Deliver - Web Site
These web pages deliver everything else. Navigate to the region which interests you using menus and links. Mediterranean regions are mostly available as web pages. Other areas contain print files (.pdf), and are slowly being converted.
Our World Class Library in CA House has all the information our online resources do not. Worldwide pilot books and charts (paper and electronic) and member's logs are all kept by our Information Officer, who can answer most questons. To source and buy your own pilot books and charts, cheque out "Our other info sources" and their discounts.

“Cruising Sections” comprise groups of members cruising a large sea (or land!) area . Each group has an email network on which to post local news, ask questions and see answers. Members prepare detailed advice about their area, often helped by CA local representatives, another invaluable source of local help
