Good news for Cruisers of Home and NW European waters.
The CA is very pleased to announce the launch of its Almanac for 2013.
The superior guide to the seaways, rivers and key inland waterways of the United Kingdom and Western Europe, the Cruising Almanac is compiled by seasoned navigators, members of the CA, with years of experience in the variety of conditions to be encountered in each area.
The Cruising Almanac is edited specifically to meet the practical questions facing the navigator. A practical eye for the essential detail ensures that the user will find the appropriate notes to assist a safe passage and landfall. So, approaches and havens are presented in the detail needed and no more; numerous chartlets are employed throughout the Almanac for clarity. Clutter is minimised.
The general introduction contains vital information on weather, communications and other essentials for safe cruising. Tide tables for 47 standard ports are included as a separate booklet for ease of reference. Tidal charts cover the whole area, and selected distance tables further assist in passage planning.
In 16 sections covering coastlines and key ports from Shetland in the north to Gibraltar in the south, the west coast of Ireland to the south-west Baltic, the Cruising Almanac is the preferred single source to help you through long and short passages securely.
Corrections are available of course – every two months on the CA website, for free, click here or go to:
