Around the Coast - index

We are re-vamping the Around the Coast pages. In future they will follow the same order as is used in the Almanac with the same section headings, although we retain some of the original separation. Thus, English and Welsh Coasts are here dealt with together and separately from Scotland.

National Coastwatch - The National Coastwatch Institution invites yachtsmen to contact them direct for local weather and safety information. There are 21 lookouts with planned expansion to 60 by the end of 2001. Details and phone numbers for local stations: 01726 883190.
Their website contains a clickable map accessing details or individual stations.

* Medsec - Attention is drawn to the fact that more substantial information is available through the Medsec site that is only available to members.
