At the Cruising Association, our focus is cruising - inland, inshore, offshore, blue water, by sail or by power – and only cruising. That’s why we work hard to protect your freedom to cruise; to provide each other with information and advice; to make cruising more enjoyable and affordable; to support association members in any way they need.  If you share our passion for going where you want, when you want, how you want, join us and see what we can do together.

Knowledge – KnowledgeWherever you want to go, a Cruising Association member will have been there before you, and the combined experience of more than 3,500 members is channelled through our information centre – described as the best passage planning information service in the world – available online, in person, or by phone.

Company - If you like to meet other cruising sailors, welcome to the Cruising Association. We have local groups around the UK coast, and broader networks in popular cruising areas. They organise cruises, rallies, and meets in the summer, training, lectures and social events in the winter. What better way to meet like-minded people?

Whether you have your own boat or are looking to crew on someone else’s, we can help you achieve your goals. Our Crewing Service provides skippers with crew and crew with skippers.

Protecting Your Freedom - RATSWe protect the freedom to cruise. Our Regulation and Technical Services (we call them RATS) consult with harbour authorities, local and national governments, regulatory bodies, technical committees, and shipping, leisure and wildlife organisations on matters that might impact us, and you. Our job – championing the right to cruise

Savings - Our members Discountsbenefit from savings on chandlery, sails, electronics, charts, marinas, insurance and much more. A current list of discounts and offers is maintained on the member-only section of our website. Many members find they can cover the cost of their subscription by taking advantage of these exclusive discounts.

In addition to all this, there are many other services we provide to members-
